This catalog examines the African American Civil Rights Movement in the United States in contemporary works of art and by young scholars in the field of history. It expresses ideas about the national and the local Fort Lauderdale, Florida efforts to ensure civil rights for black citizens through the use of three social activists principle: peace, power and the almighty dollar.
